Robert Thornton is a fairly confident bet to end Martin Adams reign as BDO World Champion.Thornton, only a couple of months back beat Adams 3-1, in the Winmau Masters ,and, their is no obvious current reason why Adams should reverse that.
Averages are close between the two ,just slightly favouring Thornton, and, though Adams is an experienced campaigner in this event,Thornton has found no difficulty in adjusting even if he is a less frequent visitor.
In saying this ,i do not expect Thornton to win easily,but, i do expect victory for the Scot.
5/4 a Thornton victory is the call by 4 bookmakers.
